Charles Berberian

Guest at the 2016 Books & Music Festival

Charles Berberian was born in 1959 in Baghdad (Iraq). After a year lost in an amphitheater of medicine, he follows the courses of Fine Arts in Paris. His first comics are published in fanzines. In 1983, he asked Philippe Dupuy to illustrate one of his stories. Then begins a first career as a duo, without it being possible - nor desirable - to determine who does what: an inextricable osmosis. After the Album log (L'Association, 1994), in 2008, they won the Grand Prix of the city of Angoulême, Alph'Art, which rewards the best album of the year for the fourth volume of Mr Jean (Dupuis). Charles Berberian composes and plays music himself, solo or with Rodolphe Burger or during Acoustic Siestes with Bastien Lallemant. He has published several works on music (playlist, naive, 2004, Jukebox, Fluide Glacial, 2011 ...), and draws "live" during concerts (Acoustic naps, The Ring ...).

Adapted from Pascal Parisot's book-disc, illustrated by Charles Berberian and published by Didier Jeunesse, here is a show entirely dedicated to Felis silvestris catus, more commonly called the cat! Pascal Parisot is a singer, songwriter, musician, arranger, director ... his multifaceted musical life is hyperactive. As for children's shows, he has more than one trick up his sleeve. Endowed with a fertile imagination and an original “paw”; he creates shows of great tone, full of humor and great finesse, which hit home with a family audience.
A thousand questions arise for the author. You are a cat, you eat, you sleep, you drink… the life of a cat comes down to… cat. No. What does a cat dream of? ... Can he dance cha cha cha? ... does the cat do yoga? ... the answer, in pop songs, crazy and cha ... missed
