Laurent BEGUE
Invited to the 2016 Books & Music Festival
Born in Blois in 1966, after studying at the University of Paris IX-Dauphine, Laurent Bègue has spent his entire career in publishing as a financial director and then as a publisher, in the general literature and school sector. He is now an associate editor at Belize Editions where he develops collections for young people. He wants the works he publishes to be meaningful and to transmit knowledge (notably through the collections "Fil de la vie", "Globe-trotters en herbe", "Il était une fois...", "Les petits gardiens de la nature").
He is the author of "King Midas and his donkey ears", "Hercules and his 12 labors", "Pegasus and Belerephon against the chimera", "Joan of Arc and the uncrowned king", "Theseus and Ariadne against the Minotaur", "Ulysses facing the trials of the return" and very recently "Orpheus and the power of song" (coll. Il était une fois) and "La Fleur et les saisons", a book that has received many "coups de coeur" on children's book blogs.
To be published in March 2016, "Once upon a time William the Conqueror, became King of England".
He is also the editor of a remarkable and effective method of learning to read, since to "read well" one must first "have learned well"...
He will be present:
Sat 16 & Sun 17 April / Villa Le Cercle Program Roulez Jeunesse !
