First mallet exchanges on Wednesday August 9! For 3 weeks, the Deauville International Polo Club welcomes the greatest European and Argentine professionals to the Barrière Deauville Polo Cup. Three tournaments punctuate this month of polo: the Ladies Polo Cup, the Coupe de Bronze and, of course, the mythical Coupe d'Or, to round off this sporting spectacle.

Polo, a tradition in Deauville

Polo has been played in Deauville since 1880. What was only a players' association became an institution in the world of polo and the fields of the Deauville-La Touques racecourse saw the best players in the world come and go! Thanks to the Golden Cup, instituted by François André in 1950, Deauville Polo is the only French tournament and one of the three major European tournaments to boast a record of achievements including the greatest names in international polo.

Ladies first

Since 2015, women's polo also has its own tournament! The Barrière Deauville Polo Cup no longer has three but four cups, including the highly regarded Ladies Polo Cup. The best French and international players meet in Deauville to play matches and hope to win the famous Cup.

The village

Here, you can sit down after the games, have a drink in the bar or go shopping in the boutiques. Don't miss the traditional parades in town on the eve of the finals and the beach polo sessions on the beach at low tide.
