Putting your imagination to work for the Franciscans

Since last May, Deauville has had a unique place, entirely dedicated to culture. It brings together a museum, an auditorium, a performance hall, exhibition, reading and documentation spaces structured around themes dear to Deauville: horses, cinema, entertainment, photography, the art of living and the youth. Here, no signposted route, everyone chooses according to their inspirations.

Go back to Jurassic times at the Paléospace

Live the experience of Normandy during the Jurassic era with the Paléospace de Villers-sur-Mer! This atypical museum invites you to go back 160 million years in time, when the sea completely covered the region. In the shoes of a paleontologist, explore the dinosaur room, where large carnivores and herbivores are revealed (Streptospondylus, Lexovisaurus…), then head to the Jurassic gallery to admire large skeletons and small fossils. Make a stop at the temporary exhibition "Croc '! Evolutionary History" dedicated to crocodiles. And for a 360 ° trip to the Milky Way, take a seat in its planetarium!

Get drunk on nature

Nearly thirty green spaces are spread across Deauville. Natural sites, parks, squares or gardens, they are all an opportunity to get away from it all and get some fresh air. You can let yourself go and stroll among the shaded alleys or along the rivers, relax sitting on a bench listening to the sound of the wind in the trees or the song of birds, observe there the local fauna and smell the plant species or share a family or friendly moment on a playground.
