Deauville - from August 19th to 21st

Year after year, the ARQANA yearlings’ sale claim their capacity to provide winners of the best competitions all around the world, at any price. In 2017, for the first time in the sale history of Deauville, the winner of the legendary Derby d’Epsom comes for a French stud farm and has been purchased on the ARQANA ring. We are talking of course of WINGS OF EAGLES, presented by the Haras de Montaigu during the 2015 August sale and purchased by M.V. Magnier on behalf of Coolmore.

Deauville is the first sale place of thoroughbred horses in France and the second on the European market. Deauville sales have recently become a real quality label in the world of races, and gather all the professional categories of the equestrian world in August, at the heart of Normandy .

What’s a yearling?
A yearling is a colt older than one. As thoroughbred horses are exclusively conceived for natural mounting (no artificial insemination, embryo transfer), colts born at the beginning of the year until May-June. They are 14 to 18-month-old when they reach the ARQANA ring.
