August horse auction sales

Ten thoroughbred horse sales are organized every year by ARQANA, including the historical August Yearling sale and a great race weekend at the Deauville-La Touques racecourse. For 3 days, about 300 colts and fillies, mainly coming from prestigious Norman stud farms, will be parading in the ring. In 2018, they were auctioned for an average amount of € 165,000. The Deauville sale, a must in the world of horse races, attracts professionals from all over the world. The haras des Monceaux are carefully getting ready.

Co-owning a horse

J. Jacquemot

Co-ownership formulas known as “écuries de groupe” (literally “group stables”) emerged recently. It’s an extraordinary experience! These formulas are available at various prices depending on your budget: for example, starting from € 50/year for the Écuries Club RMC, with over 15,000 members in 5 years. ARQANA – organizer of the famous sales of Deauville - also created his own program of “écuries de groupe” in 2013, known as ARQANA Racing Club. At a cost ranging from € 10,000 to € 20,000, 20 to 40 people can become the co-owners of 4 thoroughbred horses whose care expenses are covered for two years. They have access to stud farms, professionals and the sale backstage.
