Laure Adler

Laure Adler began working for France Culture in 1974 as a journalist and then participated in several television programs. In 1990, she was appointed to the Elysée Palace as a representative for culture. In 1992, she was appointed director of documentaries and cultural programs on France 2. From 1999 to 2005, she directed France Culture. As a writer, she is the author of essays and historical works, including Les premières journalistes (Payot) and Les femmes politiques (Seuil), and biographies: Marguerite Duras (Gallimard - Prix Femina de l'essai), Françoise Giroud (Grasset) and Sur les pas d'Hannah Arendt (Gallimard). In 2013, she published her^1st novel, Les immortelles (Grasset). She is the producer of the program L'heure bleue on France Inter.
