Laure Adler

Laure Adler began working for France Culture in 1974 as a journalist and then participated in several television programs. In 1990, she was appointed to the Elysée Palace as a representative for culture. In 1992, she was appointed director of documentaries and cultural programs on France 2. From 1999 to 2005, she directed France Culture. As a writer, she is the author of essays and historical works, including Les premières journalistes (Payot) and Les femmes politiques (Seuil), and biographies: Marguerite Duras (Gallimard - Prix Femina de l'essai), Françoise Giroud (Grasset) and Sur les pas d'Hannah Arendt (Gallimard). In 2013, she published her1st novel, Les immortelles (Grasset). She is the producer of the program L'heure bleue on France Inter.
