Nordic walking was born in the Scandinavian countries in the 1970s. This "gentle" sport activity combines pleasure, conviviality and health!

Nordic walking consists of walking at a faster pace than classic walking or hiking thanks to the use of 2 specific sticks which accentuate the natural movement of the arms and allow to propel yourself forward, and therefore walk faster, longer and with less fatigue! 90% of the muscles are stressed, which increases energy expenditure and promotes weight loss! The many benefits of this health sport are proven and its regular practice, at any age, is highly recommended by doctors.

Each session, lasting 2h to 2h30, is supervised by a certified facilitator. It includes muscle and joint warm-up, walking, stretching and recovery exercises.

These sessions are organized throughout the year on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on the Côte Fleurie by the association "Les Normandiques".
