Experience an immersion in the history of Calvados! In a farmhouse with typical Pays d'Auge architecture dating back to the 17th century, the Calvados Christian Drouin family home shares its passion and distillation secrets with visitors.
In the vast orchards surrounding the buildings, stroll through the tall apple trees, planted every ten meters, where thirty varieties of cider apples blossom, while admiring the farmhouse, its boiler room, its wash house and its renovated bread oven. Next, you will go to the press, where you will learn about the harvesting of apples from September to December, the art of brewing and distillation in the imposing 2,500-liter iron still. An essential step to separate the alcohol molecules from those of the water, the brandy is then matured in oak barrels, the wood that gives color and aroma. No less than 1200 barrels, formerly filled with Calvados, Sherry, Port or Banyuls, are stored in the ageing cellars and allow the creation of unique blends.
And what would a visit to a distillery be without tasting the spirits? You can learn the art of tasting Calvados, but also Pommeau de Normandie, cider, perry and even gin.

Departures of the visit: every 45 minutes (last departure in the morning at 11 am and in the afternoon at 5 pm).
