As part of the Apepa (Alliance pour le Patrimoine des Eglises du Pays d'Auge) summer program, Les Amis de l'Eglise de Saint-Pierre-Azif open the doors of Saint-Pierre church every Saturday afternoon during the summer. Visits are free or accompanied by a member of the association, who will explain the history and life of the church.

Saint Pierre church has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1926. It was recently renovated and inaugurated in June 2022. Its architecture dates back to three periods: the 12th century for the choir (former seigniorial chapel) and the Lombard bell tower; the late 15th century for the nave, with its inverted ship's hull frame and barrel vault; and the 17th century for the hexagonal sacristy.
Over 4,500 chestnut staves and 60,000 nails were required for the vaulting of the nave.
Also worth seeing is its astonishing collection of nine paintings by masters of the Flemish school of the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as remarkable pieces of ancient and modern religious art, such as the relief Stations of the Cross from 1887, statues, fine stained glass and a 14th-century recumbent.
