Equitherapy, or the art of healing the mind through the mediation of the horse. To make riding accessible to all, the Ecole d'Equitation de la Villedieu offers courses for people with disabilities. Based on three winning factors - the horse, the patient and the therapist - this treatment offers numerous benefits, both cognitive and psychological: development of motor skills and balance, entertainment through games in communication with the animal, strengthening of the muscles involved, work on the hands by gripping the reins, the mane, stroking the horse or brushing it, etc.
