Founded around 1060 by Mathilde, wife of William the Conqueror, this abbey of Benedictine nuns had a great reputation from the 11th century to the Revolution. Its abbey church, the Church of the Trinity. The 18th century convent buildings are the seat of the Lower Normandy Region.
