Recognition of excellence

Already labeled Fédération Française d'Equitation, Ecole Française d'Equitation, Poney Club de France and Ecurie de Compétition, the Pôle International du Cheval Longines - Deauville is the first French Pole to receive the brand new certification of the French Horse Riding Federation (FFE). According to predefined specifications, comprising more than 284 criteria based on sports facilities, animal wellbeing, public reception and Sustainable Development, this classification aims to promote the poles of excellence in equestrian competition in order to offer them better visibility with local communities. It categorizes the infrastructures according to four levels: Premium, Performance (status granted to the Pôle International du Cheval Longines - Deauville), Optimum and Access.

It is during the Dress'in Deauville, the only 3-star international dressage competition organized in Normandy, that the President of the FFE Serge Lecomte awarded this distinction to Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville and President of the Pôle International du Cheval Longines - Deauville.

We are very proud to receive this distinction. Many champions and athletes, including the French teams, came to train here; it is a great way to recognize the high level facilities of the Pole. Our ambitions now, with the Terres de Jeux label granted to our territory, is to be recognized for preparing for the Olympic Games: it is obvious that horse riding is at the forefront of the sports for which we are candidates.

A new guarantee of quality for the Deauville structure, which has positioned itself as a showcase dedicated to the multidisciplinary promotion of the sport horse since its inauguration in November 2010. Moreover, many professional riders have chosen the Pole as their residence stable ( Robert Breul, Tony Hanquinquant, Bertrand Lebarbier and more recently Camila Mazza De Benedicto) or as a training venue before major international events, like theFrench Paralympic Riding Team last May, in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics.
