The Xénakis Trio

Remi Rière

Composed of percussionists Adélaïde Ferrière, Emmanuel Jacquet and Othman Louati, the Trio Xenakis has as its primary guideline the revisiting of the repertoire through the masterpieces of contemporary music by highlighting the infinite diversity of the timbre specific to the percussion.
Graduates from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, the three performers have a common passion for the work of chamber music, and for the discovery of this infinite instrumentarium, alternately melodic, percussive, or eclectic, which materializes in 2018 by entering a residency at the Singer-Polignac Foundation.
Paying homage to Iannis Xenakis, one of the first composers to highlight the instrument in a soloist light with a mathematical and rhythmic complexity never seen then, this ensemble explores the works of the last century, following the evolution of musical aesthetics until 'to contemporary creation today.
