With the aim of encouraging the practice of sport in an ecological setting, while at the same time promoting the natural sites of the inDeauville area, the race is resolutely nature-oriented.

Crossing landscapes of sea, mountains and marshes, as its name suggests, the course is set to the very particular topography of the area: starting from the Paléospace in Villers-sur-Mer, the race joins the seawall and beaches of Villers-sur-Mer and Blonville-sur-Mer after a "getaway" on the wooded heights of Villers-sur-Mer and Auberville to reach the cliffs of Les Vaches Noires. Runners then take on the rugged climb of Bénerville-sur-Mer to reach the natural and historic site of Mont Canisy, offering breathtaking views of the Seine and Orne estuaries. The route continues through the Parc Calouste Gulbenkian, owned by the City of Deauville and home to rare tree collections, before returning via the Blonville-Villers marshes.

Four courses are on the program: a 21 km run (elevation gain 230 m), a 12 km run (elevation gain 120 m), a 5 km run and a 12 km Nordic walk (elevation gain 120 m). These events are open to all, from experienced athletes to beginners.
