DEAUVILLE - The Franciscans

18e FESTIVAL BOOKS & MUSIC
For almost twenty years, this unique festival in the French cultural landscape has endeavored to mix and untangle the links that unite literature and music.

The literary meeting of the City of Deauville opens up the discovery, often surprising, of words and notes.
Each year, it honors writers inspired by music. Faithful to its foundations, the Festival, animated by dozens of authors and musicians, continues its exploration by favoring sharing, openness, discovery and high standards. Values put at the service of literary and musical creation and of a more numerous, attentive and curious public each year. Meetings, workshops, musical readings or concerts make up the program; often unique moments, always rare, intimate and open to all.

Among its commitments, the festival is committed to supporting the dissemination of works to the public and in particular to the youngest. Two literary prizes illustrate this desire.

PRICE OF THE CITY OF DEAUVILLE
Created from the start of the festival, the Prix de la Ville rewards each year a novel inspired by music. The winning book is chosen by a jury of novelists, musicians and journalists gathered around Jérôme Garcin.
