CONTACT SHEETS - 15ᵉ EDITION
For this fifteenth edition, Normandy is transformed into a muse through the lens of some twenty established and emerging photographers, invited to capture the soul of the region through original works created in residence.

The 15th edition of the Planches Contact festival is a continuation of its singular approach, focused on supporting the creation and production of original works. This photographic event, initiated by Philippe Augier and the City of Deauville, is based on a unique concept: inviting photographers in residence to explore and capture the town and its surroundings, giving rise to exclusive exhibitions. Over the years, the festival has expanded its scope, both in terms of the growing number of guest artists and the diversity of themes addressed. The seaside town, its public spaces and cultural venues are transformed into veritable open-air galleries.

Planches Contact is also distinguished by its experimental character, offering photographers a space for reflection on the practices and forms of restitution of photography. The emphasis is on inventive scenography, adapted to the projects on show, but also on broader issues linked to contemporary problems. The festival thus becomes a space for dialogue and resistance, where artistic creation proposes alternative readings of the world. This year, over twenty photographers from Europe, Africa, the United States and China took part in this artistic adventure. Through their work, the public is invited to discover unique perspectives on the world. The artists tackle historical, societal and personal themes, opening windows onto diverse, poetic and often little-known realities.
